Simple Stories #2

Here's a short one for today:

There was once a time when I had somehow lost my girlfriend's spare car key. Neither she or I could figure out how it could've possibly happened, since we had left it in a safe compartment in my own car. Regardless of how it occurred though, we were saved by the kindness of a stranger. This man had found the lost key, and left a note on my girlfriend's car with contact information. After we got a hold of him, he happily returned the key to us. Naturally, I was ecstatic about getting the lost key back, and my girlfriend was also relieved. However, it also made me happy to know that there's a little kindness in the world.
